Exclamation

Since We have all seen and heard (and some have experienced) these 4 Hurricanes that have reaked havok on Florida, I thought I would ask a very difficult question for some to answer.
As you all know, I am not a religious person, and have never claimed to be one so I am just looking for your honest opinions and not something to use as a way of being judgemental or anything like that.

Here is the Question.
Many would call these Hurricanes "acts of God" and that somehow this is "God's will".
Do you beleive that a Hurricane is an "act of God" and/or "God's will"?
And if so, please give any reasoning behind your answer or why these acts occured.

Hurricanes are a natural weather phenomena who's frequency is cyclical. Just like warming and cooling trends.

Act's of god is a wiggle word used by Insurance companies toget out of paying.

God's will is something ignorant people use to explain things they don't understand.

No, I do not.

I'm with Trav on this one. These are meteorological phenomena, no more, no less. No hand of God, no space aliens with a grudge against Florida, no time travelers trying to eliminate the dictator from three decades hence who is currently in grade school in Florida. (Waving my hand in the jedi mind trick - thirty years from now you will not remember that you knew about El Rico)

Greg, I'm sitting on the same bench as Trav and AL. Florida this year falls into the "shit happens" column. If it weren't for the people I know there, I doubt that the storms would have been much on my radar.

Like Trav said, it goes in cycles. The "forgotten" hurricane of 1928 (??) got little attention because there were so few people in Florida. Texas was hit 4 times in 18-something. Same thing. No people, no press.

I pretty much figured I'd get the answers I got.
Simple and to the point.
Thanks for answering.

Gae, 1900 Galviston Texas. Worst Hurricane to ever hit America as far as casualties go. 8000 dead.

I would have to agree that Hurricanes are a natural weather occurance that unfortunately wreak massive amounts of damage.
